According to the plan The Greater Bay Area will be built as a national pilot zone for deepening the reform of a higher education system and mechanism and set a good example for comprehensive education cooperation between the Mainland and Hongkong and Macao SARs.

Sister School Scheme

Since 2004, there have been a number of local schools forming sister schools with schools in the Beijing Municipality, Shanghai Municipality, Ningbo Municipality, Guangdong Province..etc Among these provinces/municipalities the Guangdong-Hong Kong Sister School Scheme is the largest in scale, accounting for about 70 % of schools participating in the Sister School Scheme.

New Guangzhou Branch of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology 1st Semester open on Sept 1, 2022

•Guangzhou campus will have 6 central research facilities (Lab), including an experimental animal center, a life science advanced technology center, etc. The research facilities on the Guangzhou and Hong Kong campuses can be shared by student from the two schools

Recognizing the exciting education landscape in the Greater Bay Area, the Hong Kong based Learning & Teaching Expo (LTE) will host the Greater Bay Area Education Forum.

The one-day forum will invite delegations from the education departments of each of the 11 cities to attend Learning & Teaching Expo in Hong Kong for an exchange of ideas and dialogue on educational reform and the potential for increased collaboration in the area of education, training and skills.
